‘Dwalende melodie’ is my first piece for bass clarinet. I sought for beauty and simplicity. This miniature isn’t about virtuosity or extended techniques, nor is there a special concept behind it. The miniature is a
small and fragile musical gesture; a little ‘wandering melody’.
